People say, “The hair is the richest ornament of the women”. Unfortunately, it is true for both the genders. Not applicable for some men who look super-hot with no hair, for e.g.; Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson etc. That is a completely different story all together. 😊
I know this is my first blog and I have selected hair as the topic 😊. For me sorted Hair is one of the important things to look stylish. I myself still figuring out how to maintain a saloon set hair all the time, “every women’s dream”.
Here I am going to talk about a few mistakes that I have made and the regrets!! Don’t worry, it’s not only about the mistakes, it is also about how to correct our mistakes. Afterall, everyone gets the second, third, fourth … chance!!!
I used to have a very beautiful, straight and dark brown colored hair. A neighbor friend always used to say that my hair looks as the Sunsilk shampoo Ad, “Chamke Damke” 😊. When in front of the mirror, I watch my soft silky hair more than my pretty face 😊. My classmates who sit in back benches, they used to say that my hair shines like silk.
When I was in college, I see all the girls and movie stars colored their hairs and looked so glamourous. That is when, I have decided to color my hair to look cooler and more stylish. I technically started abusing my hair, unknowingly. I have a very fine hair, it prone to damage very easily. Stopped oiling my hair, shampooed every single day to give that glamourous look. Slowly, I was poisoning my hair. Their I suffered with drastic hair fall, uncontrollable.
I was scared. I have gone to Dr. Batra’s. They were hell lot of expensive. There was little improvement, but not good results. I have seen so many trichologists, they wrote all the blood tests available in the world. Nothing was wrong with me. One fine day I have read somewhere, our hair needs protein and there is a test to perform, if our hair needs protein or not.
My defining moment, I tried the hair strand test, hence it proved. My hair lacks protein. It is completely dry and damaged.
So here are a few tips to save your damaged hair:
- Warm Hair Oil Massage
Mix 1 Tbsp Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Almond oil, with ½ Tbsp Castor oil, Jojoba Oil. All these oils are rich in vitamin E and antioxidants and repair the damaged hair. Warm the mixture, but do not boil. Apply oil to your scalp and to the hair evenly. Leave it overnight and wash hair with a mild shampoo
- Avocado and Egg mask
The avocado is rich in vitamins A and E, saturated fats, and minerals, which all nourish damaged and dry hair, helping to moisturize and strengthen it. Take 1 ripe Avocado and 1 whole egg. Mix both the ingredients. Wet hair before applying the mixture, let it rest for 30 mins and wash with warm water and mild shampoo
- Hibiscus and Yogurt mask
Take 2-3 Hibiscus flowers along with leaves. Make a fine paste and mix it with 2-3 tbsp of yogurt. Apply to the hair and scalp. Leave it for 1 or 2 hours and wash with warm water. Hibiscus is high in Vitamin C and Amino acid. The flower stimulates the hair regrowth.
- Banana and Milk mask
Bananas are high in potassium and have high moisture content. Bananas may prevent split ends, soften the hair, and improve elasticity. Take 1 ripe banana and 2-3 tbsp full fat milk. Full fat milk is rich in Calcium and Protein. Mix the ingredients well and apply evenly to the scalp and hair. Let it rest for 1-2 hours. Wash hair with warm water and mild shampoo
- Coconut milk hair mask
It is an ancient home old recipe. Coconut milk is beneficial for restoring dry and damaged. Coconut milk contains all the essential nutrients required for healthy hair. Apply Coconut milk on to the scalp and hair. Leave it for 2-3 hours or also can leave it overnight and wash with mild shampoo. It leaves hair silky and soft.
Also, making the healthy choices of life, like:
- Healthy food
- Drink lots of water
- Quit smoking and drinking
- Include Omega rich food in diet
- Maintain Scalp and Hair hygiene
